Tahoe Arts Projects 9th Annual Festival
(July 10th - 11th, 2010)

On 10th and 11th July, The Tahoe Arts Projects 9th Annual Festival comes to the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. Come along and see what is widely billed as the most extensive collection of art, local culture, and live entertainment on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Local and regional artists will be showcasing their talents and work, all in aid of the Tahoe Arts Project, or “TAP” as it is known. TAP was created to bring cultural performing arts to the South Lake Tahoe children and the wider community. TAP was established in 1987 by group of parents, teachers, and professional musicians, to bring performing art to the isolated communities in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The focus of recent years has been the establishment of artists-in-schools-programs. Artists serve as role models to help children develop creativity and problem solving abilities, thus fostering intellectual development and success in all academic areas. The TAP program has reached out to over 5,000 children in all grades of school and is now internationally recognized as a role model for other arts-in-education organizations.
